Facilities

The Canadian Police College’s two campuses are set in picturesque urban environments. The CPC’s central campus, located in Ottawa, Ontario, borders the lush greenery of the Ottawa River and the renowned trail network of the National Capital Commission. CPC West, co-located with the Pacific Region Training Centre (PRTC) in Chilliwack, British Columbia, is a short walk from the Vedder River and its trails.

The CPC’s specialized facilities for training in explosives, forensic identification, cyber crime and drug investigations make it Canada’s premiere advanced education centre for police services from across the country and around the world. These facilities are augmented by classrooms, a lecture theatre, computer labs, meeting rooms and one of the most extensive police library in the world; CPC Ottawa houses Canada’s national police library.

Accommodation and meals are also available to the CPC’s students. In Ottawa, the campus has two residences, a cafeteria, lounge, gymnasium and exercise room and the use of bicycles, as well as access to jogging trails along the Ottawa River. At CPC West, the Executive Hotels & Suites operates these facilities; in addition, students have the use of a gymnasium and exercise room.

CPC Ottawa also offers meeting facilities for rental to groups in the policing community.
