The western campus of the Canadian Police College was established to meet the educational needs of police in western Canada, and to make courses more accessible to police services across the country. Co-located with the RCMP’s Pacific Region Training Centre in Chilliwack, BC (Directions), CPC West’s first course started in January 2007.
The CPC West’s roster of 300 instructors and subject-matter experts provides the same high-quality, specialized and advanced police training offered at the CPC’s Ottawa campus. And, as CPC West regularly hosts international students (in addition to students from eastern Canada when needed), officers gain from opportunities to network and form positive working relationships with members of other police services, two of the benefits of taking a course at Canada’s national police college.
