The Canadian Police College Library assists all Canadian police personnel with their open source information needs, regardless of their rank, role, position, or location.
Canadian Police College Library staff members:
- respond to the operational, administrative, professional development, and research needs of Canadian police personnel with the latest open source information available, tailor-made reading lists , and a variety of other services
- lend books, studies, and audiovisual materials to police personnel across Canada, regardless of their location, free of charge
- perform customized searches to provide magazine and newspaper articles, books, police-related studies, domestic and international law and jurisprudence, and other materials
- find locations for material not held in the CPC Library collection (such as: another library, police agency, government department), or refer Canadian police personnel to subject matter experts who can answer their questions
- provide tours and assistance with searching the Library catalogue, borrowing books, or searching the Internet or other electronic information systems.
Hours
- consult experienced professionals Monday through Friday from 08:00 and 16:30 ET
- use the library facility 24 hours a day every day throughout the year, including holidays
